In addition to the Touch Screen controller, the following equipment is available:
(Additional equipment and technical support must be requested when making your reservation.)
- Wireless PowerPoint controller w/Laser pointer
- 2 wireless microphones
- 4 table microphones

- Live broadcast on EIC channel 10 – Fordham Cable Television System
- PowerPoint signage on 40” LCD screen, outside of Flom Auditorium

The Touch Screen system includes controls for:
1. Video:
- VCR/TV
- DVD/CD
- DV/SVHS
- Auxiliary Video (stage right, control room, TV studio)
2. Computers:
- pplications (main computer)
- C2 (in the podium’s lower shelf – for advanced software)
- Laptop (monitor, internet, audio, and power: inside of laptop cubby
- Touch Screen White Board<
3. Doc. Cam. (Hi resolution Document Camera)
4. Slide Projector (slide images will not appear on touch screen monitor)
5. Black Screen (temporarily hides projector image)
6. Write: Annotate over any Computer or Video source, including the Document Camera
7. Lighting Controls:
- Auto Dim (default – lights dim on PLAY, un-dim on STOP)
- Presentation (very low lighting for presentations)
- Note Taking (middle level for writing)
- Stage (even lighting for stage presentations)
- All On
- All Off
8. Audio Controls:
- Mic Volume (controls podium microphone and table mic’s)
- Program Volume (controls all video and computer sources)
9. Projection Screen (Screen is always DOWN, unless the whiteboard is needed)

HOW TO USE THE SYSTEM
(Full Description Manual)
The Interactive Touch Screen features an AUDIENCE SOURCE (projector) window and a PREVIEW SOURCE window (only displays on
the touch screen monitor).
You can project one source for the audience, and setup your next source in the preview window. (Even check your e-mail
while playing a movie).
FULL SCREEN can be selected for
both the Audience Source (projector), and Preview Source windows. (the EXIT button will bring you back to the AUDIENCE
SOURCE/PREVIEW SOURCE main touch screen page.

AUDIENCE SOURCES (projector) can be selected by tapping the icons across the top row. The main Computer Sources are the icons
under APPLICATIONS, on top right.

PREVIEW SOURCES (touch screen only) can be selected by tapping the icons on the right side of the screen, over the PREVIEW SOURCE
label. The Computer Applications are the small icons in the Preview Source window.
The Audience (with arrow) button will instantly display
the Preview Source window in the Audience Source window (Projector). Set up your next source, hit the Audience button and the
projector will display the source and send the last audience source to the preview window.

The lighting controls are set automatically; The lights will fade to a low level when ever the PLAY button is selected for any of
the video sources, and the light will fade to Full On, when the STOP button is selected. Lights can be manually selected but using
the lighting icons along the bottom of the touch panel page.
The Wizard icon will take you to the Touch Screen
Help web site.
The Write icon will bring you to a Full Screen
Annotation screen. Annotate over any Computer or Video source, including the Document Camera. There are a set of menu items to
change line color and thickness. Use the Exit icon to return to the main screen.
HOW TO LECTURE AT THE PODIUM
- Adjust the direction/height of the microphone.
Adjust the volume of the microphone at the bottom of screen using the left and light Program Volume arrows.
- Select either All On or Stage Only only lighting presets.

- Adjust the Podium light – The DIM control is on the base of the light.
- Select the Black Screen icon
to turn off the
projector .
HOW TO SHOW A VHS OR WATCH TELEVISION
- Select from the top left of the VHS icon.

- For VHS, use the Play, Stop and FF/Rev buttons.

- For Television, use the Channel Up/Downs buttons.
- Adjust the Program Volume at the bottom of screen using the left and right Program Volume arrows.

- The lights will AUTO DIM/UNDIM on PLAY/STOP.
If you would like the lights to stay on – SelectAll Onat bottom of screen.
- Select the Full Screen tab,
to view as a full screen image.
Select the Exit icon on the left side of screen to return to the Main Touch Screen page.
- The Black Screen icon
may be selected to turn off the
Television.
- VHS or TELEVISION can be Previewed, by selecting the VHS icon on the right side of the touch screen. The Full
Screenpreview tab may be selected for Preview mode. The image will not appear on the projector.
- Select the Audience button,
to instantly view with
projector.
HOW TO SHOW A DVD
- Select from the top left the DVD icon

- Select the Menu button and then select Play Movie.
If there is no DVD menu just select PLAY from the DVD controls

- Adjust the program volume at the bottom of screen using the left and right Program Volume arrows.

- The lights will AUTO DIM/UNDIM on PLAY/STOP
If you would like the lights to stay on – Select All On at bottom of screen
- Select the Full Screen tab,
to view as a full
screen image. Select the Exit icon on the left side of screen to return to the Main Touch Screen page.
- The Black Screen icon
may be selected to turn
off the DVD
- DVD can be Previewed, by selecting the VHS icon on the right side of the touch screen. The Full
Screenpreview tab
may be selected for PREVIEW
mode. The image will not appear on the projector.
- Select the Audience button,
to instantly view
with projector.
HOW TO SHOW DV or SVHS
- Select from the the top left the DV/SVHS icon

(If you are using a SVHS tape, select SVHS instead.)

- Adjust the program volume at the bottom of screen using the left and right Program Volume arrows.

- The lights will AUTO DIM/UNDIM on PLAY/STOP
If you would like the lights to stay on – Select ALL ON at bottom of screen
- Select the Full Screen tab,
to view as a full screen
image. Select the Exit icon on the left side of screen to return to the Main Touch Screen page.
- The Black Screen icon
may be selected to turn off
the DVD.
- DV or SVHS can be Previewed, by selecting the VHS icon on the right side of the touch screen.
- Select the Audience button,
to instantly view with
projector.
HOW TO USE THE DOCUMENT CAMERA
- Select from the top left the DOC CAM icon
.
- Place document face up on the the document tray.
- Turn on upper lamp.
- Use the zoom controls for proper sizing.
- Choolse manual IRIS controls to change brightness, only if needed.

HOW TO USE THE FILM SLIDE PROJECTOR
- Select from the top left the Slides icon

- Advance the slides using the Forward control.
- Reverse to change the direction of slides.
- Focus can be adjusted with the Focus controls.
- Use the Lamp-Off control to hide the slide image.
HOW TO USE THE MAIN COMPUTER
The Main Computer is called Applications, and is located on the top right.
- Select from the Applications icons

- Insert media files into the USB hub or CD-ROM drive on Podium.
- The keyboard and mouse are in the slide-out shelf.
- Select the Full Screen tab,
to
view as a full screen image. Select the Exit icon on the left side of screen to return to the Main page.
- Applications can be Previewed, by selecting the Application icon in the Preview Source Window.

- Select the Audience button,
to instantly view
with projector.
- To end computer session, select the Return button on the bottom of the Touch Screen.
The follow applications are provided in the main computer:

- Whiteboard
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Acrobat (PDF reader)
- Explorer
- Windows Media Player
HOW TO USE THE PC2 COMPUTER
The PC2 Computer is for advanced software not offered in the main computer. It is located inside of the podium,
please ask for assistance from a EIC technician.(x5118)
- Select from the top left the PC2 icon

- Insert media files in the USB hub or CD-ROM drive on Podium.
- The keyboard and mouse are in the slide-out shelf.
- Select the Full Screen tab,
to view as a full
screen image. Select the Exit icon on the left side of screen to return to the Main Touch Screen page.
- The PC2 can be previewed, by selecting the small Application icon in the Preview Window.

- Select the Audience button,
to instantly view
with projector.
- The Black Screen icon
may be selected to hide
the computer display.
- To end computer session, select Return button on the bottom of the Touch Screen.
HOW TO USE A LAPTOP COMPUTER
- Select from the top left the Laptop icon

- Open laptop cubby on the Podium and connect cables.
- Electrical AC power is also available in cubby.
- While holding down the FN button press the Function key with the
icon twice. This will allow the laptop to display on the projector.
- The Black Screen icon
may be selected to hide
the computer display.
- To end computer session, select the Return button on the the bottom of the Touch Screen.
HOW TO USE THE ELECTRONIC WHITEBOARD
- Select on the top right the Whiteboard icon

- Use the Touch Screen pen to draw

- To erase, hold down the button on side of the pen
and lasso all or part of the writing you would like to erase..
- To save select File from the menu and Save, you can save to either the desktop or to a USB jump
drive. Don’t forget to name your file.
- To open a saved file, select Open from the menu.
- The Black Screen icon
may be selected to hide
the computer display.
- To end computer session, select the Return button on the bottom of the Touch Screen.
HOW TO ANNOTATE OVER VIDEO/COMPUTER SOURCES
- Select the Write button
in the center of the Touch Screen.
- User the Touch Screen Pen
to draw on top of any image.
- To erase, hold down the BUTTON ON SIDE OF PEN
AND
LASSO all or part of the writing you would like to erase.
- Use the menu on the left to change between, Pen, Hi-Liter, and Laser Pointer.
You can also adjust line thickness and pen color.
- To save, select File from the menu and Save, you can save to either the desktop or to a USB jump drive.
Don’t forget to name your file.
- To open a saved file, select Open from the menu.
- To end annotaiton session, select the Exit button on the top of the Touch Panel.
GLOSSARY of ICONS and TERMS
DVD and CD player: Press button for controls
VHS player and Cable Television: Press button for controls
DV and SVHS player: Press button for controls
Document Camera: Controls are on the Doc. Cam.
Slide Projector: Press button for controls
Laptop Computer: Plug into Laptop Cubby for connection
PC2: for advanced software: Ask for technical assistance
Auxiliary Video interfaces: Stage Right, Control Room, TV Studio
Black Screen:
Hides the Projected image
Whiteboard: Electronic Whiteboard with multiable pages. Save and Open pages.
Main Computer: Embedded Computer Applications
Selecting Video sources: For Preview screen only. (Will not project to audience)
Selecting main computer applications: For Preview screen only (will not project to audience)
Annotate over any Video or Computer Source: including, laser pointer, and hi-liter

This button will instantly send the selected Preview Source to the Audience Source and will be viewable from the projector. Set up your preview material and then instantly select it for audience viewing.
This tab enlarges the Video or Computer images to full screen for maximum viewing. Select the EXIT icon on the left side of screen, using either your finger or the Pen, to return to the MAIN Touch Screen page. The mouse will not be able to select the EXIT button
