This guide includes a selection of print and electronic resources for doing research in Latin American and Latino Studies. It is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all the resources available, but rather, to provide a starting point for research about Latin America. Since Latin American and Latino Studies is interdisciplinary, other guides from a range of disciplines may also be useful.

League of United Latin American Citizens
Aims to "advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of the Hispanic population in the United States"

Library of Congress Hispanic Reading Room
Serves as the primary access point for research relating to those parts of the world encompassing the geographical areas of the Caribbean, Latin America, and Iberia; the indigenous cultures of those areas; and peoples throughout the world historically influenced by Luso-Hispanic heritage, including Latinos in the U.S., and peoples of Portuguese or Spanish heritage in Africa, Asia, and Oceania. A primary site for Latin American research.
