The Library owns over 70 books on ornamentation and decoration published in the 19th century.
Most of the books are large folio volumes written in French and contain lavish illustrations, many of which are hand colored.
The ornamentation described is mostly architectural, but some of it describes furniture, the graphic arts and costume.
Over forty of these volumes are being exhibited in the libraries.
